Divine Word Catholic Radio Project Newsletter Bringing Catholic Radio to the Mobile/Pensacola Gulf Coast Area   Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam! February 2, 2006 Dear Friends in the Faith, You are receiving this newsletter because you have shown interest in the Divine Word Catholic Radio Project in the Mobile Archdiocese and Pensacola area. This is our first newsletter. We are all volunteers from various parishes in the Mobile and Pensacola Diocese. Several of us met a few years ago at the Catholic Radio Conference in Birmingham and from that meeting we have formed a 501C3. We are a non-profit organization. Bringing Catholic radio to the Gulf Coast has involved Catholics in Pensacola, Baldwin County, Mobile and Gautier. As Catholics along the Gulf Coast know, there is a great need to bring the Magisterium to the airwaves against the culture of death. We are obedient to the Archbishop and the bishops of the other associated dioceses. At this time, we have not begun our fundraising efforts. We will however, begin our first fundraising after the completion of the Catholic Charities Appeal. In the coming weeks we plan to publish a Parish Directory. We invite you to submit your schedule of weekly masses, Adoration Hours and any upcoming events and we will include them in our newsletter. Information to be included in the current week's newsletter should be sent by Wednesday 12 noon to the following email address:calendar@divinewordradio.com We are not officially affiliated with the Catholic Church, nevertheless we are a Catholic Lay Apostolate faithful to the Magisterium of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.   Programming Our intended radio broadcasts will include the following: Sacred/Classical Music Catholic Cultural Arts World News Local Masses Student Programs Contemporary Catholic Artists Catholic Answers Live Familyland (The Apostolate for Family Consecration) Spanish Programming (broadcasting on a sub-frequency) Join Us In Prayer Our most important asset is the prayer of our supporters. We will begin this Novena to the Infant Jesus of Prague on Thursday, February 2nd. Our intention is for the spiritual and temporal success of the Divine Word Radio Project. We would encourage you to join us beginning Thursday, February 2nd (the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord) or at any time convenient for you.      Please join us in this Novena below: POWERFUL NOVENA TO THE INFANT JESUS. For Cases of Urgent Need   This prayer should be said at the same hour every day for nine consecutive days. O, JESUS, Who hast said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you" through the intercession of Mary, Thy most Holy mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.   (Mention your request) O, JESUS, who hast said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary, Thy most holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask Thy Father in Thy Name that my prayer will be granted.   (Mention your request) O, JESUS, Who hast said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My word shall not pass away," through the intercession of Mary, Thy most holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.   (Mention your request) Prayer of Thanksgiving for Graces Received from the Infant Jesus I prostrate myself before Thy Holy image, O most gracious Infant Jesus, to offer Thee my most fervent thanks for the blessing Thou hast bestowed upon me. I shall incessantly praise Thine ineffable mercy and confess that Thou along art my God, my helper and my protector. Henceforth my entire confidence shall be placed in Thee! Everywhere I shall proclaim aloud Thy mercy and generosity, so that Thy great love and the great deeds which Thou dost perform through this miraculous image may be acknowledged by all. May devotion to Thy holy infancy increase more and more in the hearts of all Christians, and may all who experience Thine assistance persevere with me in showing unceasing gratitude to Thy most holy infancy, to which be praise and glory, forever.
